From the phone...

Here are a few pics....

In my attempts to get this baby weight off, I have discovered that I actually LOVE to push the triple stroller at the park... while Miss Priss drives this thing around :) (Thanks to Mr. Jack)

snoozing on the LONG drive from Reid Memorial to Grace on a Wednesday afternoon

Another park pic... you gotta do what you gotta do when you only have two swings to deal with!

 My sunshine boy.

My first attempt at a grocery store run.  Kroger.  Thursday afternoon.
I will try not to repeat this again for a while!

On a walk with Mimi and Poppa :)

My Paradox

The definition of paradox is ...
a statement that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth.

Clara.  She is a paradox.
Sweet and Sour.  How can you be both??
She is NOT having fun here.  This is about to be a fit, probably because the chair wasn't rocking the way she wanted it to.  The worst fits I've seen is when her dress up shoes wont stay on her feet... you would think her fingers had been chopped off the way she SCREAMS and kicks and wails!

But then, there is this PRECIOUS face.  One we also see often.
She's so playful and fun... when she wants to be :)
It cracks me up.

Firemen

This post is about Eve, as most are.  She is at a fun/frustrating age.  She is smart enough to think she's grown, but funny enough that I can laugh instead of pull my hair out (sometimes).

We've been spotted TONS of places with this ONE earring.  She loves it, and doesn't care that the matching one is LONG gone.

Our first "cooking experience".  Making Pigs in a Blanket for a party.  She used the apron and oven mitt Nonny gave her for her very first Christmas.  I love that we have that memory of Non.

 Proud of her rolling skills.

  These two are practically inseparable.

OK, now to the reason for this post.
Firemen.
Eve has been learning about safety at home and dialing 9-1-1 for emergencies.  Today, the local fire department came to the Preschool for a visit.  They were asking the kids for reasons you would call 9-1-1, and Eve raises her hand so proudly and says, "When your mom brakes your legs, that would be an emergency, and you can call 9-1-1."  Really, Eve?  I would not be surprised if DFACS didn't show up at our house this afternoon to do a small investigation.  :)

PINK fingernail polish...REALLY, Ellie??

Ellie was screaming through one of her naps recently.  I couldn't figure out why.  So, I gave in, and let her come hang out with me and Eve downstairs.  I was just about to paint Eve's fingernails and toenails.  Being the girly-girl she is, Eve needed TWO colors of polish.  One for her toes and one for her fingers. The polish that was not being used was soon scooped up by Ellie, and immediately put into her mouth. I was fine with it because she can't unscrew lids.  Well, at least that is what I thought.

Everyone wants bright pink squiggly lines all over their beige carpet when your house is on the market, right??  Just a little decoration??!!  ugh.  My fault, I will take the blame...but MAN, I was so MAD??!!  Not to mention that this happened on a Wednesday afternoon, right before leaving for youth... when a men's small group meets at our house.  Thankfully, Lauren was on her way over to get one of the kids for church and we SCRUBBED OUR BUTTS OFF.  Rubbing alcohol, fingernail polish remover, water, carpet cleaner... something worked well enough.  It's not gone, but it'll do.

The Twin's Relationship

I have loved watching my twins grow and develop together.  They are NOTHING alike, and look NOTHING alike :)  Ellie is practically still bald, Clara has hair GALORE.  Ellie loves meat, Clara loves bread.  Clara is in-your-face, Ellie is reserved.  Clara is a dare-devil, Ellie is cautious.

But they love each other.

I remember when they were infants, if Ellie was screaming, I'd snuggle her up next to Clara and she'd immediately quit.  They slept in the same bassinet/crib until they were about 8 months old.  They feed off of each other, in good ways and bad.  Sharing is going to be an issue...but isn't it with ALL kids??  They "get" each other.  It is adorable.  I took this progression of pictures the other day.  Love it.

They are both starting to communicate so much better... I bet it is going to be fun hearing them tell stories and play games together.  Thank you, Jesus for giving me these girls.  What an honor to be their mommy.
