Look How Far They've Come...

I ran across this pic of the twins, this was taken the night they were born.  This is the only picture we have of Ellie's belly, un-scared.  (Clara top, Ellie bottom)

Tay Tay bought these onesies for them, and set them up for this pic.

PreK Graduation

What a great year for the Lairsey's!

Eve has LOVED school...and cannot wait to start up again this summer!  She has mastered writing her first name, as well as Mom, Dad, Ellie, and Love without asking for help.  She is starting to sound things out, but still doesn't quite have a grasp on reading yet.  She is a big help around the house, and LOVES her brother and sisters.  She is growing up into a beautiful, polite, incredibly fast-thinking young lady with HUGE potential.  I look forward to spending more time with her this summer, and I am considering homeschooling her for 1st grade.  We'll see where God leads.

Mommy and Daddy love Eve-a-roo!

Mother's Day 2013

I got to spend it with my children's only great grandma, Mimi, and Eve at Grace's Mothers Day Brunch.  I was the guest speaker this year, so that was a lot of fun.  I was also the speaker at In Focus' Mothers and Others Brunch.  I really felt like the timing was right, and God had given me something to say.  It was great.  Happy Mother's Day!!

Eve and Mommy

This face made me a "mom" ... almost 5 years ago.  She'll always be my first-born, sweet-yet-sassy princess.  I love watching her progression ... and in some pictures, my progression with her :)  precious moments captured here.

Life with the Loud Lairsey's

If you remember my last post about dinner time, you'll appreciate that we're making progress.  I have found a few things that my kids love to eat (usually).  So, we've reduced meltdowns at mealtime ... but I never said anything about our etiquette.  This isn't exactly the most lady-like way to eat dinner, HOWEVER ... they are eating.  That is progress!

A HAIRCUT FOR THE BOY...
This is Coleman BEFORE...

And this is my handsome man after!!

This particular day, it was raining.  And i thought I could deter Eve from wanting to take a walk after school if I told her she had to wear a hat so the rain wouldn't get in her eyes.  But instead of being put off by it, she was eager to put it on!  Here is our picture :)

I leave you with a picture of our serene house.  Calm, happy, peaceful, and pleasant.  All the time.
HA.  NOT.
Believe it or not, this picture is NOT staged, I seriously walked into the room from cooking dinner and saw this happening.  Ellie and Coleman are playing with daddy, Eve is curled up watching something on TV, and as soon as daddy realizes Clara has confiscated his phone and takes it out of her hands, she will be screaming.  Hilarious.

Mama, Take A Picture

Eric and I were recently laughing about a cute little way Clara purses her lips together when she's thinking.  It is adorable.  She overheard us, and started making the face, and said, "Mama, take a picture!"

Daddy's Foo-ball Games

Daddy's Foo-ball games is really Daddy's softball games, but Clara and Ellie don't know the difference.  They get so excited about Daddy playing any sport that they cannot wait to get in the car to go watch.

This particular night, Eric asked Holley if she would come pitch to him so he could get some batting practice, the kids and I played on a playground nearby for a little while and then came over to watch dad.  This is what Coleman did the whole time!!

The girls were screaming, laughing, jumping, talking, giggling, running, hopping and playing around in the grassy area, but i did manage to get them all close enough for a picture :)

Coleman could eat him for lunch!

Don't ya think???  :)

These are cute cousins!  Levi turns 1 on May 24 and Coleman will be 16 months old May 19.  I just know they'll be great friends as they're growing up!
