My Miracles

I dont ever want to forget these moments...
Ellie -- Christmas Eve night.  This is the way she and Clara looked the first time I saw them (outside of the operating room, of course).  We were able to hold Clara for a bit that night.
 Clara -- Christmas Eve night
Ellie -- Christmas Day -- leaving for surgery with the transport team from MCG.
 Clara...off CPAP!
 Ellie...after surgery
 Frail Ellie
Eve peeking in on Ellie for the first time.  She was really bothered by all of the tubes and garb.
Eve holding Clara...she did fantastic with her...Clara looked a bit more "normal" at this point.
Ellie...seeing her FACE for the first time without all of the wires and tubes!!
 Ellie...finally eating and pooping :)
Clara...jaundice and yellow, but otherwise healthy as can be!

God really did perform a Christmas Miracle for us in 2010.  It is bittersweet for me to look back on these pictures and remember where we have come from.  At the time, I didn't realize just how frail they both really were.  They were mine, and to me, they were perfect and normal.  Thank you, Jesus for those "rose-colored glasses".  Without them, I would have been a wreck.  Thank you, Jesus, for holding me together for my family, for Eve, and my little bits.  I cannot imagine my life without these girls.  They are such a light for me, such strength, and a story of God's goodness and hope.  May I never stop telling them where they came from...and making God the hero of their lives.
