This morning when Eric was buckling Eve up in her carseat for school, she was wiggling and squirming in a fit saying "The buckle is STEALING my BODY... it's steeeeaaaaalllling my booooddddddyyyyy!"
When Eve wakes up, Coleman is the first person she wants to see. Yesterday, she climbed up on our bed where he was laying, got really close to his sweet face and said, "Good Morning, Sue Sue!" I said, "Eve, Coleman's not Sue Sue, you are!" (Sue Sue is a name I have for Eve that came from Eve-aroo, Eve-a-Sue... strange, I know). She looked at me so sweetly and said, "Well, I'm YOUR Sue Sue, and Coleman is MY Sue Sue." :) That made my heart smile!!!
While riding to get our dinner last night, Eric and I hear Eve singing in the backseat. She is ALWAYS singing. Usually she is just talking ... in a rhythmic way, with high and low notes ... it is hilarious. It went a little something like this:
"Kids have parents. Kids cant walk without their parents. Parents can go everywhere by theirselves. And parents can go with another parent. Kids have to be with their parents...."
After our bathtime last night, Eve wanted to pretend to be a doctor. She got my eye mask that I wear at bedtime and put it around her mouth. I asked her what her name was, she said "I'm doctor C-elsh." The names she comes up with for herself, her baby dolls or her stuffed animals is usually VERY odd.
Me: "Dr. C-elsh, my baby Coleman has a hurt tummy. Can you please help him?"
Eve: "Yes, let me listen to his heart. Hmmm. He has a .... GIANT .... JINGLE BELL in his belly! Oh no. Let me go get the toothpaste." Comes back with Nemo and Princess toothpaste in hand, waving it over his belly. "This should get it to come out. He's all better now."
Me: "Dr. C-elsh, my baby Clara has hurt her head! Can you please help her?"
Eve: "Sure. Let me see here." (she puts her finger on pursed lips and taps it several times) "She needs some water poured on her head." She grabs her hairspray bottle of water and runs back over to Clara and pretends to spray it on her head. "Got it."
Me: "Dr. C-elsh, my baby Ellie doesn't feel good. Can you help her?"
Eve: "Oh, yes, yes, yes." She runs over to Ellie and bends over. "Let me listen to her heart. Oh no! She has a giant HOLE in her heart. But I have a GIANT band-aid that I can give to God and Jesus and they can fix it."
Me: "That would be great, doctor. Please hurry."
Eve: "Ok. They'll do it. Just a few minutes."
