Easter 2013

Eve is 4, Clara and Ellie are 2, and Coleman is 1.

Coleman did not have an Easter Egg Hunt this year .. which is a good thing ... because chunky isn't walking yet :)  well, he isn't walking ALONE yet.  Ha.  He LOVES to walk around holding your fingers... he'll walk and walk and walk doing that, but the second I take your hand away, he plops himself in the floor and starts screaming.  He does NOT want me to pressure him to go off on his own and is offended by the thought that I could have something else to do around the house rather than hold his fat fingers all day long.  But ... who could be upset with Coleman ???  Not this girl.  He's my manny.

Clara and Ellie really loved Easter this year.  They are at a fun, exploring age.  They ran all over the playground filling up their baskets.  They were egg-hunting beasts :)  i had to dump their baskets out and give back some eggs a few times because they were overloaded!  At Grace's Spring Fling, Mrs. Lisa announced the beginning of the race with a megaphone.  Ellie was NOT happy about that.  The crowd of kids rushing out to the field to get eggs wasn't her favorite either, but once she got going, she was ok.  The Spring Fling also had tons of jumpy houses and a big slide that the kids loved.  Ellie said she wanted to "watch it, mama" ... She was quite content watching Clara and Eve play, while sitting on the sidelines with mama.  Clara was a champ.  She climbed to the top of the jumpy slide (HUGE), all by herself.  Ellie did eventually go down the slide three times, once with me, once with YaYa, and once with Uncle Bill.  She loved it!

Eve only wanted to gather the pretty colored eggs.  She did NOT like the boy colors, and would skip over tons of perfectly good eggs to get to the pink and purple ones.  Totally a girl.  She still loves spin-ny dresses best, but will wear blue jeans IF NECESSARY.  She still loves to model a new outfit or hairstyle for her dad.  She loves when I straighten her hair.  I obliged her over Easter Weekend.  The wet weather paired with having to be rinsed off by a water hose at the Spring Fling after having sand dumped all over her, left her hair looking as if I didn't even try at all!  Yuck.  Oh well.  Her curls are beautiful!
